AT&T has launched a new feature enabling Android users to view the specific reason for incoming business calls directly on their call screens. This initiative, developed in collaboration with TransUnion, allows businesses to display messages such as “refill reminder” or “delivery service,” assisting users in determining the importance of the call.

This enhancement builds upon the STIR/SHAKEN protocol, which is designed to identify and mitigate spam calls. While currently exclusive to Android users, there are expectations that this capability will expand to all mobile devices over time.

Previously, Google had introduced a similar feature for its phone app, which has since been discontinued. AT&T’s implementation aims to provide users with greater transparency and control over incoming business communications.
